Mail-in Registration Information

2012-2013 School Year

School registration materials will be mailed to homes June 12, 2012 for all students and families who already attend Rockton School District.

All families with children currently enrolled are asked to use the mail-in registration process to register for the 2012-13 school year.

Registration forms and payments will be due back to Rockton School District, 1050 E. Union St., Rockton, IL, 61072 by Friday, July 13, 2012.

Parents/guardians that do not respond to registration by July 13, 2012, will be assessed a late fee of $25.00 per child and your child's name will not appear on a class list.  If you don't respond, we will assume your child will not be enrolled with Rockton School District.

Rockton School District #140 provides assistance and support for homeless families.

When a child loses permanent housing due to economic hardship and becomes homeless as defined by law, or when a homeless child changes his or her temporary living arrangements, the parents or guardians of the homeless child shall have the option of either:

(1) continuing the child’s education in the school of origin for as long as the child remains homeless or until the end of the academic year (if the child becomes permanently housed during that year); or

(2) enrolling the child in any school that non-homeless students who live in the same attendance area are eligible to attend.

For further information, please contact the district homeless liaison, Lindy Daniels, at 815-624-7143.
