Inclement Weather Information

On days when school may be closed due to snow or ice conditions, we will be working closely with the bus company to determine as soon as possible whether or not school will be in session.  We ask parents and students to please watch one of the following television stations or listen to one of the following radio stations for school closing information.  Remember.....DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL.

Information on Rockton School District School Messenger Calling Program

     Rockton School District is using the School Messenger calling program for snow-day calls, emergency announcements, and other general information messages to our parents/guardians and staff.  School Messenger provides the ability to contact every parent/guardian and staff member in our database with accurate and timely information within minutes.

     As a parent/guardian or staff member, please make sure the school has accurate contact information on file to ensure you are notified in an emergency situation if one should occur.

     The district may also at times, use this program to conduct simple surveys or inform parents of building specific information.   A  note home will usually precede a phone survey so you will not mistake it for an unwanted call but rather a way for the district to gather critical information.
