WPES Welcomes you!

Welcome to Whitman Post Elementary School, home to Rockton's 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! At WPES, we build upon student’s solid academic foundation developed at Rockton Grade School, while teaching new skills necessary for success at Stephen Mack Middle School. We have an excellent teaching staff who are student-focused and committed to providing a fun and safe learning environment in which students are challenged to become successful lifelong learners.

In addition to academic learning, Whitman Post has a strong focus on character education and community involvement. Students learn core values of “Golden Character” such as empathy, integrity, perseverance, and leadership through service projects in the Rockton community, classroom lessons, discussions, assemblies, our “Good as Gold” recognition program, and reward activities.

Students can also get involved in many activities at school including choir, running club, art enrichment classes, and our annual project fair.

We have a proud tradition of academic excellence and welcome parent and community involvement in our school. There are many ways for parents and community members to get involved such as joining our Rockton PTO, Warriors Booster Club, becoming a room parent, or volunteering for a field trip. We want our parents to be involved at Whitman Post!

For more information about Whitman Post Elementary School or to arrange a tour of the building, please contact the principal.
